Conserve Energy

There are several methods of conserving energy and resources. As well as collecting energy in the winter and retaining it, we will be using high R-value insulation to keep excessive heat out in the summer.

The Sun is an excellent source of energy, both light and heat. Solar panels  convert sunlight into electricity and solar pre-heaters will be used to lower energy cost to heat water.

Electricity that is not used by DC lighting or powering low voltage computers or charging cell phones using DC power ports in the offices will be converted to AC to run 110v needs and excess will be sold back to the local power grid.

Rain water will be collected for irrigation of the ecosystem on the roof that is a natural habitat for the Monarch butterfly and other non-potable water needs. Ground water is used to heat and cool the building using thermal exchange technology.
