John Bellingham, FCIOB, AIC - President

Founded Monarc in 1987, has vast experience in the construction industry having worked for large general contractors, both in England and the metropolitan Washington, DC area, before establishing Monarc Construction. Notable renovation projects began with the restoration of the Forrest Marbury House in 1987 and include the Bond Building, European Community Ambassador's Residence, British Ambassador's    Residence, George Washington Faculty Club and the Folger Shakespeare Memorial Library Education Center.

 

 

 

 

Byron Kassing -V.P. of Operations

Joined Monarc Construction, Inc. in 1987. He graduated from West Virginia University with a degree in Civil Engineering. He is a member of the Building Safety Committee with the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA). Some notable projects are Folger Shakespeare Memorial Library, Forest Marbury House, George Washington University Faculty Club, and Lofts 14.

 

 

 

 

 

Gene Prichard - V.P./Senior Superintendent

Joined Monarc Construction, Inc. in 1994. He has many years experience as a master craftsman in millwork having studied cabinet making. Some notable projects are National Association of Home Builders, Fort Belvoir Officers club, Latrobe apartments, and BAE Systems.

 

 

 

 

 

 

William Stepanick - V.P./Estimating & Preconstruction

 

Joined Monarc Construction, Inc. in 2005. He graduated from Radford University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1977. Has worked in the Washington DC Metropolitan area for over thirty years and has experience working with the private sector as well as Government agencies. Projects include historic renovations; base building, subway stations, prison construction, US monuments, Churches and tenant work. Some notable projects include the US Navy Memorial, Ariel Rios Renovation, West Hyattsville Subway Station, EOSDIS Computer Facility and the Signature Flight Center Air Terminal at BWI.
