The mansion on Sixteenth Street is undergoing extensive renovations to the existing 5 story building to include some historic restorations to the exterior façade. Also under construction is a new 5-story addition to the rear of the existing building doubling the square footage of the original building. New landscaping and site work includes the replacement of existing parking facilities, driveways, walkways and patio areas.

mansion at 1501 16th Street NW, into an embassy for Kazakhstan, a new
country (formerly of the USSR), the second largest nuclear power in the
world. Embassy staff were used as a labor force to minimize overall costs.

Owner: Delegation of the European Commission Historical renovation of the Ambassador's residence for the Delegation of the European Commission included addition of new penthouse with new structural system and underground garage, expansion of living areas, upgrading of all utilities and installation of full commercial kitchen and state-of-the-art communication and wiring systems.
